Portsmouth, Va. – The Interstate 264 (I-264) West Downtown Tunnel closure scheduled for tonight, Tuesday, Nov. 26 has been cancelled due to anticipated poor weather conditions.
Elizabeth River Tunnels (ERT) crews will resume rehabilitation of the westbound tunnel after the Thanksgiving holiday with a full tunnel closure on the evening of Monday, Dec. 2 at 8 p.m. reopening on Tuesday, Dec. 3 at 5 a.m.
An updated Downtown Tunnel westbound closure schedule for the remainder of 2013 is anticipated early next week.
