Hampton, Va. – Hampton police are currently investigating a fatal crash that occurred on November 25, 2013.
It happened at 5:14 p.m.
Hampton police received a w911 call in reference to a pedestrian and vehicle crash in the 200 block of Pine Chapel Road.
When crews arrived, they found a man suffering from serious injuries.
The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The pedestrian, 61-year-old Emanuel Lane, II, was pronounced deceased at the hospital at 11:57 p.m., as a result of injuries he sustained in the crash.
The investigation has revealed that a 1999 Mitsubishi Galant was traveling eastbound on Pine Chapel Road when it struck a pedestrian that was in the roadway.
The crash is being investigated by members of the Hampton Police Division Fatal Crash Team.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation. No charges have been filed at this time.
