Suffolk, Va. – Suffolk police officers responded to a single vehicle accident involving a Ford SUV, which ran off the road on Route 58 eastbound between the scales and the Suffolk/Chesapeake line, according to Diana Klink, Suffolk City Spokesperson.
The driver, a 61-year-old woman, ran off the road, striking a tree.
The woman was airlifted by Nightingale to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Two eastbound lanes were briefly closed following the accident. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
