Virginia sailor, toddler killed in Indiana crash

Harrison County, Ind. - A Virginia sailor and a toddler were killed in a crash in Southern Indiana on Thursday on I-64 in Harrison County.

According to wlky.com, the crash involved two vehicles--a man in a car and an SUV that had a mother, grandmother and two small children inside.

They say a Nissan was going westbound on I-64 when it went off the road, through the median and into oncoming traffic eastbound. That's when it collided with the SUV officers in Harrison County tell WLKY.

The sailor was from Missouri and he was stationed in Virginia according to the website.

The family says an 11-month-old was airlifted to the hospital and is in critical condition. The mother and grandmother suffered some bruises and scratches and they went to the hospital to be with the injured baby.
