The James City County Police Department recently held its third annual Shop with a Cop program at Target in Monticello Marketplace.
Seventeen children were paired up with officers and given $150 to shop for gifts for themselves and their families. After they completed their shopping, the children and officers were treated to a free lunch by Chick-fil-A in Monticello Marketplace.
Shop with a Cop is completely funded by donations and proceeds from department’s annual Shred-A-Thon. Anyone interested in supporting Shop with a Cop should contact Senior Officer Todd Dill at 757-603-6025.
