Man wanted for hit-and-run in Chesapeake

Chesapeake, Va. – Chesapeake police are looking for a suspect wanted in a hit-and-run case from last month.

It happened on November 26, 2013 at 9:30 p.m. A hit-and-run accident occurred near the intersection of Commerce Avenue and Liberty Street.

The victim was walking down Commerce Street when the vehicle came up from behind, striking him with the vehicle. According to police, the victim did not sustain life threatening injuries and is expected to recover.

Witnesses say the vehicle appeared to be a dark blue, “older model” Chrysler 300 and may have a Virginia tag number similar to MZP-6393.

The driver was described as a light skinned black male in his early 20s. Police say he is approximately 6’1” and has a beard. He was wearing a black hat with a skull cap underneath, long sleeved black thermal shirt and dark shorts at the time of the accident.
