Portsmouth, Va. – Police are investigating a late-night shooting that left a man shot in the back Friday night.
Police responded to a 911 call in the 4000 block of Ebbtide Lane at 11:41pm found the man with a gunshot wound in his back.
Medics transported the man to a hospital with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries.
Investigators determined the man was actually shot in the 4100 block of Long Point Blvd and ran to Ebbtide Lane where he was found.
