Suffolk, Va. – Suffolk Police and Suffolk Fire & Rescue personnel are investigating a single vehicle accident on eastbound Route 58 near the weigh scales. They say one person has died in the crash.
Suffolk Police Dispatch was notified of the accident at 8:33 a.m.
The vehicle reportedly struck a tree off the right side of the road.
Suffolk Police have confirmed one fatality as a result of the accident.
The name of the victim has not been released pending notification of next of kin, police say.
The investigation is ongoing.
