The City of Suffolk’s Department of Public Utilities is advising that the interior and southbound lanes of North Main Street between Western Avenue and Mahan Street will be closed while a contractor replaces a deteriorated section of sanitary sewer.
The work will begin on January 13th and run through February 21st.
The lanes will remain closed during the evening hours.
The outer north and south bound lanes will remain open for single lane traffic through the work zone area.
Completion of this work will allow for the Department of Public Works to complete their planned resurfacing of North Main Street during the next paving season.
