Posted

Below is a message from the North Carolina Ferry System:

“Good morning, everyone. We’ve got some extremely high winds today on the coast. At this time, we have suspended operations at Currituck-Knotts Island and Bayview-Aurora, and the 7 a.m. Ocracoke to Swan Quarter is currently on hold until conditions improve. As always, we’ll keep you up to date here as things change.”

“We are now also holding on the 7 a.m. Cedar Island to Ocracoke and the 7:30 a.m. Ocracoke to Cedar Island. Sustained winds on Pamlico Sound are above 25 mph, with gusts up to 36mph.”
