Despite frigid temperatures, several school systems chose not to delay classes Tuesday and that led to some problems with bus stop pickups.
In Virginia Beach, 12 buses had mechanical problems, causing delays for students.
In Newport News, one bus didn't have working heat. A parent reported it was so cold the windows were iced over.
And in Chesapeake, a Great Bridge Intermediate School bus broke down during the route, leaving some kids stranded without a ride.
Luckily, one dad stepped up and made sure all those kids got to school safely.
