A 49-year-old man has been arrested after a rape investigation by the Suffolk Police.
Police say Dennis Bernard West was arrested on January 8th and charged with rape, forcible sodomy, object sexual penetration, indecent liberties with a child and aggravated sexual battery.
The charges are related to incidents that occurred between September and December 2013 and involved a 16-year-old girl.
He is currently being held without bond at the Western Tidewater Regional Jail.
The investigation is ongoing.
