Norfolk Councilwoman Angelia Williams named vice mayor

Norfolk, Va. – During Tuesday night’s city council meeting, councilwoman Angelia Williams was named vice mayor of Norfolk.

Councilmembers voted unanimously for Williams, who represents Super Ward 7.

She was elected in 2010 and was also recently appointed Vice Chair of the National League of Cities 2014 Development Steering Committee.

“I appreciate my colleagues’ confidence in my ability to serve in his important capacity,” said Vice Mayor Angelia Williams. “I look forward to representing not just Super Ward 7 but the entire city.”
