The VCU Peppas play with the same kind of intensity as their famed basketball team.
Last Thursday night, the Rams beat George Mason in the Stuart Siegel Center and the VCU band covered Miley Cyrus’ “Wrecking Ball.”
Video of the performance quickly popped up and has been featured on People.com, and USA Today’s The Big Lead.
The band also held up a picture of a “Space Kitten,” a symbol seen in Miley’s American Music Awards performance last year. Space Kitten was then used throughout the game to distract free throw shooters. George Mason proceeded to miss 7 of their 16 free throws.
