Richmond, Va. - A nursing student says a sexually explicit video she sent to an ex-boyfriend has been posted online.

According to WTVR.com, Nicole Coon says the video started to appear online around Thanksgiving time.

She was obviously worried about her reputation and now she says the website, which is based in the Netherlands, is demanding $500 to remove the video.

Police told her that this was out of their jurisdiction and what the company was doing was legal.

Now she is sharing her story to help others with what is called "revenge porn." These are pictures or videos sexually explicit in nature that are submitted to websites by ex-boyfriends/girlfriends.

She has now teamed up with Virginia Delegate Marcus Simon of Fairfax on a bill that is aimed at outlawing revenge porn in the state.
