Gloucester, Va. – Family and friends came together Saturday night to remember three boys and their grandmother who died in a fire last year.
Thomas, 7, Michael, 2, and Gabriel Grogan, 6 months old, were all killed when their house caught on fire in January 2013.
Firefighters told NewsChannel 3 their grandmother, Virginia Grogan went back inside the home to try and rescue the boys. She too was killed.
The boys parents survived.
During a memorial held at the Tractor Supply on Market Drive, the community remembered the children and their grandmother by writing their names on balloons, then letting them go.
