Portsmouth, Va. – On Wednesday, inmate clean-up crews supervised by deputies were working hard to make it easier for Portsmouth citizens to get around by removing snow on walkways for the elderly and handicapped citizens.

The sheriff also helped out. Sheriff Watson is a heavy equipment operator by trade and he jumped into action and started to plow several roads in the city.

He spent nearly 12 hours cleaning the streets around the municipal building, and city building parking lots.
