Norfolk, Va. – Crews responded to an accident involving a Light Rail train and a Ford Escape, located at Duke Street and Brambleton Avenue in Norfolk, police tell NewsChannel 3.
The call came in at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, January 31, 2014. According to police, the vehicle touched the train while the train was in motion.
The snow was reportedly covering the line on the street that indicates where drivers are supposed to stop. The driver of the SUV didn’t see the train, it got too close, and struck the train. Minor damage was done, but no injuries were reported and no one was taken to the hospital, police say.
