Denver Broncos defense end Shaun Phillips shared a heartwarming text message conversation he had with his son after the team lost the Super Bowl on Sunday night.
“Sorry I let you down,” Phillips wrote to his son.
Phillips, who only registered one tackle in the loss, received an “aww-worthy” response from his child.
“It’s ok daddy u r still my hero,” the boy wrote back.
Phillips posted the heartwarming exchange Twitter. The tweet has been retweeted over 7,000 times.
