Today we honor Gunner's Mate 2nd Class Petty Officer George Milton Goode.
He served 7 years in the Navy. During the 1940's he served on board the Franklin D. Roosevelt.
He also worked at the Portsmouth gas company and gene cooks dry cleaning by the Navy yard in old town Portsmouth. He currently lives in Portsmouth and has four children.
His family says they are very proud of him. We thank him for his service.
