Norfolk, Va. – Norfolk emergency crews were called out to General Dynamics Nassco Norfolk after getting a report about a suspicious device in a parking lot.
The call came in at around 4:50 p.m.
Norfolk Fire Crews arrived on the scene at 4:57 p.m. in the 200 block of Ligon Street.
Norfolk Fire Marshals, the Norfolk Bomb Squad, and the U.S. Navy Explosive Ordnance Technicians all responded.
After an investigation, officials say the metal device was not an explosive device or any type of ordinance.
