Newport News, Va. – Crews put out a fire at a Newport News home on Friday in the 2600 block of Marshall Avenue.
Officials say the one-story home was unoccupied and the fire has already been put out.
They received calls at 3:53 p.m. and the first engine was there within minutes.
When units arrived, they saw fire coming from the back of the home. They were able to stop the fire from spreading through the house.
Crews were able to get the fire under control by 4 p.m.
No one was injured.
Investigators are still trying to determine the cause of the fire.
