Two arrested for allegedly selling crack cocaine in Wanchese

Members of the Dare County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Task Force conducted an investigation on February 2nd into the reported selling of crack cocaine in Wanchese.

As a result, Task Force Officers conducted a traffic stop that yielded a quantity of crack cocaine and money and two arrests.

Josiah Thomas McClenney, 32, was arrested and charged with possession with intent to sell or deliver cocaine, selling or delivering cocaine, conspiracy to sell or deliver cocaine, possession of a controlled substance on jail/prison premises, and also failure to appear warrants from Perquimans County.

He was sent to the Dare County Detention Center in lieu of a $27,000 bond.

Isaiah Kenneth Brunson, 20, was arrested and charged with conspiracy to sell or deliver cocaine, and maintaining a place/vehicle for keeping a controlled substance.

He was released on a $5,000 bond.
