Gates County, N.C. – The Winton Bridge was temporarily closed Friday morning, due to ice on the roadway. Crews responded, and put salt and sand down on the bridge. The bridge is now open, according to North Carolina Emergency Management. Drivers are advised to use caution, and to avoid the area if possible.
