Today the conference 1 and 9 Gymnastics Tournament was held at Bayside High School. There were 10 teams competing but everyone had their eyes locked on the
Kellam Knights AND Cox Falcons.
Both teams had their share of standouts. Maddie Smith, from the defending state champion Kellam Knights, lit up the competition in the floor event. Alli Lepkowski also had a good day for Kellam as she drew high scores from her performance on bars. For the Cox Falcons, Jiill Holwick and Bailee Adams more than held their own with strong performances in the beams and bars, respectively.
Both schools performed well enough to qualify for regionals.
