The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for portions of the Outer Banks and Northeastern North Carolina until 4:00 a.m. Thursday.
Included in the watch are mainland Dare County, Outer Banks – Dare, and Outer Banks – Hyde.
The NWS says heavy rains in combination with melting snow will likely produce some poor drainage flooding problems across the area through tonight.
Areas that receive frequent downpours could have more significant flooding especially if the occur in locations that received heavy snowfall on Tuesday.
