Newport News, Virginia – A man was shot to death inside Majik City Gentlemen’s Club on Jefferson Avenue shortly before 2:00am Wednesday, police say. He has now been identified as 56-year-old Issac Oiugbenga Oshin, the owner of the club.
A 20-year-old man has been arrested and charged with his murder.
Witnesses told police there had been an altercation inside the club and the suspects left in a red car.
They say later an unknown car pulled into the parking lot and a person got out and shot Oshin.
On Thursday, officers responding to a call of gunshots being heard in the area of 25th Street and Jefferson Avenue made contact with the suspect and determined he was wanted for the homicide.
Rashad D’Antrell Ashlock, 20, was taken into custody without incident and, after being interviewed, was placed in the custody of the Newport News City Jail.
On Friday, detectives arrested 25-year-old Brandon Heath Morris, on the charge of being principle in the second degree to murder. He was the driver of the car involved and was arrested after coming to Police Headquarters to speak with detectives. He is currently in the custody of the Newport News City Jail.
