Norfolk, Va. – Thousands of customers lost power in Norfolk on Friday, according to Dominion Virginia Power’s Bonita Harris.
At 7:40 a.m., a malfunction with a transformer on Thole Street left about 10,000 customers without power.
Crews are on the scene.
Power has been restored to about half of the customers so far; crews are working to restore power to all customers as quickly as possible.
Traffic lights are down on Tidewater Drive and Little Creek; police are directing traffic.
