Isle of Wight County, Va. – One person is dead after a crash on West Blackwater Road in Isle of Wight County on Tuesday. This is about five miles west of Windsor.
Dispatch received a call about the single-vehicle crash at around 2:30 p.m.
State Police say a 2003 Honda Accord was going westbound when it ran off the road and slammed into a tree.
The driver of the vehicle has been identified as 52-year-old Rose McAlpine of Zuni, Va.
No one else was in the vehicle and police say speed played a factor in the accident.
