Drug store cashier charged with embezzlement in Williamsburg

Williamsburg, Va. – On Friday, February 14, 2014, around 4 p.m., Williamsburg Police responded to the Walgreens store located in the 1300 block of Richmond Road in reference to embezzlement.

Management told police that the cashier, 37-year-old Gregory Oscar Catholic of Williamsburg, made several unauthorized transactions totaling over $3,000 between January 24, 2014 and February 14, 2014.

Catholic was taken into custody at the Walgreens and transported to the Virginia Peninsula Regional Jail, where he was charged with one misdemeanor count of embezzlement and six felony counts of embezzlement.
