James City County, Va. – James City County Police need your help to find two men who they say tried to rape a 17-year-old girl over the weekend.
They say this happened Sunday night in the 3800 block of Staffordshire Lane at 9 p.m.
They say the teen was walking to meet a ride when she says two men approached her.
She told police that the men grabbed her and took her into bushes nearby. She says they pushed her to the ground and took her cell phone.
Police say the victim says the two men pulled her pants down and she began kicking and screaming.
The teen did not have a description but she says that one of the attackers’ cell phones rang while she was screaming and she heard him answer the phone. She says he may have had a Jamaican accent.
She was then able to run away. She suffered minor scratches and did not require medical treatment.
