Norfolk, Va. – Naval Support Activity Hampton Roads (NSA HR) will conduct an active shooter drill on February 20 as part of the Force Protection and Anti-Terrorism Exercise, Solid Curtain/Citadel Shield (SC/CS) which started on February 18 and will conclude on February 28.

This annual exercise, coordinated by U.S. Fleet Forces Command and Commander, Navy Installations Command, is designed to enhance the training and readiness of Navy personnel to respond to threats to installations and units.

SC/CS is not in response to any specific threat, but is a regularly scheduled exercise.

“This exercise continues to be a cornerstone of our installation’s ability to protect our forces and the people supporting those forces,” said CAPT Jake Johansson, Commanding Officer of NSA HR. “As always, safety is our main concern during this training event.”
