Portsmouth, Va. – Police are investigating after a 13-year-old boy was injured Saturday night in a hit-and-run.
The driver of the vehicle, Hector Enriquez, has since been found and charged with DWI and hit and run.
Police say the 13-year-old was hit in the 2200 block of Greenwood Avenue around 6:30 p.m. Newschannel 3 learned he was walking home from the skate park with two of his friends.
The 13-year-old was transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. The extent of his injuries are unknown. The other two teens were not hit.
Police say the Enriquez took off after hitting the boy. He proceeded to drive one more block where he hit a parked car. He was sitting in the driver seat when police arrived.
