Norfolk, Va. – On Wednesday night, crews in Norfolk knocked down flames at a home in the 3900 block of Peterson Street.
At around 6:20 p.m., units reported smoke and flames coming from the home on the first floor.
They say all of the occupants were able to get out. Six people were displaced after the home was determined to be uninhabitable.
No one was injured.
They say the fire was accidental and was caused by overloaded extension cords.
