Newport News Police searching for suspects in February shooting

Newport News Police are asking for the public’s help to solve a recent shooting and malicious wounding.

Police say they responded to the 1100 block of Garden Drive around 7:30 p.m. on February 13th and found 32-year-old Marcus Lee motionless on a couch suffering from a gunshot wound to the back of the neck.

Lee was transported to Riverside Regional Medical Center for treatment and currently remains paralyzed from the waist down.

The investigation revealed that Lee was visiting a female resident of the apartment when he was shot.

At least two rounds were fired, one striking Lee.

No suspect information has been confirmed.
