Norfolk, Va. - New details about the murder of an Old Dominion University student - the Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control is now investigating the incident.
The following statement is from the Dept. of ABC:
"ABC is investigating the incident to determine if any ABC licensed establishments are involved.
If we establish that there are violations, then the appropriate regulatory action will be taken against any licensees.
ODU and Norfolk Police Departments are the lead agencies on the criminal investigation, and ABC Enforcement is assisting as needed."
Paul Johnson died after being hit in the head less than a block from the nightclub The Edge on Hampton Boulevard.
David Grimm, Jr. and Christopher Johnson were both arrested in connection with the murder.
Grimm is charged with second degree murder, and was granted a $25,000 bond Friday.
