Southampton County, Va. – A deputy was injured in a single-car accident Saturday evening while on the way to a scene.
According to the Southampton County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened around 8:21 p.m.
The deputy was heading to a call of shots fired in the town of Courtland. The deputy was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital for treatment.
It’s unknown what caused the crash.
