Portsmouth, Va. - Portsmouth soldier Demensio Rivera is gone but not forgotten!
Tomorrow, President Barrack Obama will award him the Medal of Honor for his heroic actions during a firefight in the Korean War.
Private Rivera served in the 3rd infantry division in 1951 when his outpost was assaulted.
Rivera -- who was a rifleman -- held his forward position under heavy fire.
The rifleman used his pistol and grenades, ran out of ammo, and used his last grenade in hand to hand combat to take out four of the enemy.
His granddaughter, Sgt. Ashley Randall, just back from deployment in Afghanistan, will accept the medal in his honor.
