The National Weather Service in Wakefield has issued a winter weather advisory for mixed wintry precipitation for Northampton County, NC and parts of Southeast Virginia until 11 a.m. Tuesday.
Greensville, Sussex, Surry, Southampton and Isle of Wight are included.
NWS says to expect light freezing rain and freezing drizzle mixed with sleet.
Residents in these areas can expect a trace to 1/10th of an inch of ice. Temperatures are expected to be in the 30s.
Roadways will become slippery and hazardous so please drive with caution.
