Update: Police say the two kids who were shot in Norfolk on Friday night are now recovering and they are in good condition. Both have been released from the hospital.
Police say after a preliminary investigation, they found that the kids were not targeted.
There is no suspect or motive information at this time.
Norfolk, Va. - Police are now investigating after they say two kids were shot in Norfolk's Tidewater Gardens neighborhood on Friday night.
Police say calls came in about the incident at around 7:22 p.m.
One child was rushed to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries while a 15-year-old had a parent take him to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital for treatment.
Both juveniles were hit on Charlotte Street police say.
There is no suspect information right now.
Neighbors tell NewsChannel 3 that they heard gunshots and there were kids playing outside at the time. They say they believe it could have been a drive-by shooting.
They say one of the kids was shot in the back of the leg and ran through the courtyard to his home.
