Hampton, Va. – A vehicle struck a barber shop in Hampton early Tuesday morning, police tell NewsChannel 3.
The driver, 25-year-old Gracielle Garnett, has been charged with one count of reckless driving.
Police say Garnett’s Chevrolet Blazer was in the parking lot of Kingdom Kids Child Care located in the 700 block of W. Mercury Boulevard when she accelerated, lost control and struck the First Class Barber Salon.
She was initially trapped, but rescued by firefighters. She was then transported to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
No one was in the barber shop at the time.
