Norfolk, Va. - An SUV ran into a parked car and then the front doors of a Norfolk gas station before taking off Wednesday.

March 26th, 2014 - Azalea Garden Road, Norfolk

It happened at the Fast Trek gas station on Azalea Garden Road just after 11 a.m.

The station owner, Tashur Patel, showed NewsChannel 3's Todd Corillo the surveillance video that captured the entire incident.

In the video, the silver Honda CRV hits a sedan parked in front of the gas station before striking the double glass doors into the convenience store.

Instead of stopping, the driver waves to Patel from the car, then backs-up and takes off, with his front bumper trailing along the ground.

That left a stunned Patel and a customer inside the store behind.

"Luckily he didn’t get hurt because he was about to walk out of the store too," Patel said. "The driver waved at me and I thought he would stop and he just took off!"

No injuries were reported.

Patel says the man who drove into the store was a regular customer and he's confident police will catch up with him.

"I’m sure he’s going to get caught, that’s for sure," Patel said.
