Norfolk Police are currently investigating after a child was struck by a vehicle on Monday afternoon.
Police say the accident occurred at 4:45 p.m. in the 800 block of 38th Street.
Medics responded and took the young boy to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with serious injuries.
The vehicle that hit the boy remained on scene.
An investigation is ongoing.
