Norfolk, Virginia - Twelve people have been displaced after an early morning, two-alarm fire in the Whitehurst Farm neighborhood.
Norfolk Fire and Rescue responded to the 8300 block of Guam Parkway shortly before 5:00am Saturday.
Heavy fire was coming from the roof of the apartment when units arrived.
Working smoke detectors were in place but did not alert residents.
No one was hurt.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
