Twin brothers arrested for robberies in Hampton

Twin brothers have been arrested in Hampton for two business robberies that occurred last October.

Hampton Police say on October 20th, a robbery was reported at the Osming Buffet. Police say the suspects entered the restaurant, displayed a gun and fired one round into a wall while demanding money from the employees.

After obtaining an undisclosed amount of money, the suspects ran from the business.

On April 6th, Shakeen Devonte Northcutt was arrested in connection with this incident.

He has been charged with one count of burglary while armed, five counts of use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, two counts of robbery, two counts of abduction and one count of gang participation. He is currently in the custody of the Hampton Sheriff’s Office.

On October 28th, Hampton Police responded to an alarm activation at the Buckroe Beach Market.

The investigation revealed that the suspects entered the business, displayed firearms, fired several shots towards the employee and demanded money.

The suspects fled before they received any money. No one was injured.

On April 6th, Rakeem Dejonte Northcutt was arrested in connection to this incident.

He has been charged with one count of burglary while armed, five counts of use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, two counts of robbery, two counts of abduction, one count of shooting in an occupied building, one count of wearing a mask in public and one count of gang participation. He is currently in the custody of the Hampton Sheriff’s Office.

The two other suspects in this incident, 20-year-old Jaquan Lawshawn Powell and 23-year-old Clinton Tyrice Mcphail had previously been identified and arrested.
