Norfolk, Va. – This May, Physicians for Peace, a Norfolk based non-profit organization focused on providing healthcare in developing countries, will be sending a team of volunteers to Morocco to provide neonatal and pediatric critical care training and medical education to local healthcare professionals.
On Thursday, April 10, a benefit will be held to help transform the lives of children in Morocco.
Omar Bouhkriss, of Omar’s Carriage House, is welcoming the community to “The Boathouse” in Norfolk for a delicious Moroccan feast, accompanied by lively entertainment, and an open bar.
Omar will have a short cooking demo highlighting the flavors of Morocco to promote the benefit.
In addition, Laura Gwathmey, a representative from Physicians for Peace, will be going on the mission to Morocco.
