Portsmouth, Va. – An early-morning shooting in Portsmouth has left one man wounded.
Police responding to reports of gunshots and a man wounded found the man shortly after 1am in the area of 30 Manly Street.
The man was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with a gunshot wound to his leg. His injuries are considered non-life threatening.
Detectives have learned that the victim was shot as he attempted to break up a large fight, however they do not have a suspect identified at this time.
