Teen’s squirrel selfie goes wrong

Posted

This teenager was the victim of a “selfie gone wrong” this week.

17-year-old Brian Genest of Maine was visiting a park near Tampa, Florida earlier this week while on a trip visiting colleges.

Genest says he spotted a “friendly” squirrel on a handrail and approached it, making clicking noises with his tongue, in order to take a picture with the squirrel.

Unfortunately, the flash and noises from his camera phone scared the animal, which climbed under the teen’s shirt and hung onto his back.

Genest’s mother snapped pictures as the events unfolded.

Neither Brian nor the squirrel were harmed.
