Hampton, Va. – A Hampton man is in jail on several charges after an alleged sexual assault on May 2nd.
Police first became aware of the incident when they were called to a local hospital over a domestic assault complaint.
Police say 25-year-old Brian Thomas Loftis got into an argument with a woman he knew. During the argument at a residence located in the Chesapeake Section of the City he allegedly pulled a gun and sexually assaulted her.
Loftis was arrested and charged with one count of attempted rape, one count of assault & battery on a family member (misdemeanor), 1 count of brandishing (misdemeanor) and one count of distribution of marijuana.
