Five residents were displaced after a kitchen fire damaged a trailer on Christian Street around 3:15 p.m.
Newport News Fire crews arrived on scene at approximately 3:23 p.m. to find smoke coming from the trailer.
Crews entered the trailer to find a small kitchen fire. It was under control within five minutes.
However, the trailer was condemned as a result of the fire.
The Red Cross will be assisting the five displaced residents.
No one was injured.
